As a child, moving from one small railroad town to another in post-war New Zealand, Kathy Earsman developed a deep connection to the natural world and an understanding of the ephemeral beauty of life.Unable to fully express her artistic talents due to the prejudices of the day, she has spent fifty years writing for small audiences, or in secret. She wrote extensively with her husband Peter, before his untimely death in 2004. Kathy paints pictures and tells stories with deeply penetrating insight; of great loves, deaths and tragedy, curious childhood moments, and the great world that often dwells in insignificant things. With this collection of her poems, we can see through a unique window into the life of this truly artistic soul.
