While the informal sector has the potentials to graduate to micro and small scale enterprises, a number of constraints currently inhibit the development of the informal sector and its integration with other sectors of the economy. Mr. Muhammed Abedella has obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and his Masters degree in Urban Management from University of Gondar and Ethiopian Civil Service College respectively. He is currently a Lecturer in Sociology and Director of the Registrar Office at Jigjiga University. His research interest is in development studies
