John C. Merritt received his medical training at Howard University and served on faculty at Howard and University of North Carolina. Time spent in the Middle East Ophthalmic Care, both urban and rural, led him to concentrate on preventive modalities present in common plants, foods, and life behavioral changes. He currently heads Prevention for the People, Inc., located in Clinton, NC.
