In this masters thesis, Sophie Dunlop has responded using paint to the rich subject matter and style of the ancient Roman artists whose work was discovered in Pompeii. Sophie nació y creció en Sidney y expone allí con Eva Breuer Art Dealer. Ahora vive en el sur de Australia. Sophie ha viajado mucho por Europa y Asia y su obra refleja esto, así como su amor por los productos locales y los temas cotidianos. Nombra a su padre, el artista Brian Dunlop, como su mayor influencia para su obra.
