Autorenporträt
After time at medical college, Martin worked as a labourer, showman, pancake chef, fire technician, and design engineer for London Underground. From years living in South London, his writing explores a world where wealth and poverty exist side by side, and paradise can be a place to stay, a change of identity or a wall of lager cans, and the biggest mistake a person can make is to start believing their own myths.
Rezensionen
_____ I really loved this book and found that although it wasn't a fast-paced story, the characters really came alive and I felt I knew all of them. It begins and ends with a tragedy that involves all four narrators and ties them all together. I liked the writer's style and he brought all the characters and their stories to life. Atmospheric and believable.
