Laurianna Williams maintains a large imagination that began at a young age when she discovered the joy of playing "make believe" with her large family of plush animals in "houses" created from furniture pieces in the family room / playroom of her childhood home. Ms. Williams believes that reading with children is essential and that it strengthens the bonds between children, parents, teachers and friends. A favorite statement she may be heard using is: "Knowledge is power. Once you know better, you do better." She has previously owned and operated a small On Farm Bakery and refreshment stand business, out of which she produced a first place Blue Ribbon award winning pecan pie and award winning brownies. Laurianna's love of baking stems from the precious time her Mother spent with her as a young girl, letting her play with pieces of pie dough so she could pretend to roll out pie crust as well. (Of course, she thought she really was making pie at the time, not just pretending.) Nowadays when not working on children's book projects, she can be found most often creating stories as memory aids or just pure entertainment for the amusement of herself and loved ones. She continues to enjoy cooking, baking (cake!), video games, board games, puzzles, and cozy evenings by the fireplace with her family and two dogs, Peace & Harmony.
