He then went to Paris (France) to complete his junior high school education before returning to Ouagadougou to take the Brevet d'Études du Premier Cycle in 1978. In 1981, he was admitted to the Baccalauréat series F1 (general mechanics) at the Lycée Technique de Ouagadougou (LTO) with honors. He obtained a scholarship to study fluid mechanics at the National Engineering School (ENI) in Bamako, Mali. He obtained his Diploma of Applied Sciences Engineering, option hydraulics, with honors, in June 1985, with the status of "major" of the promotion.Ervé Marcel has held several positions without interruption since 1985.He is Senator of the Junior Chamber International.
