From bed-bound, to almost homeless... Dennel takes her readers through the next seven years, in this sequel to 'The Loss, ' the novel that developed from years of intense journaling to her sister, LeDon; LeDon remains an integral part of her family's life as they continue to struggle to move on without her. In her journal, Dennel wrote: "December 31, 1999 - the end of the century and the beginning of a new Millennium! What a time to be alive... to exist here and now. It is a time for new beginnings. Time to move forward with plans, dreams - and life goals: " She goes on to say, "(Okay, so it took me a while to put everything together, but I am moving forward now; with nine years of school under my belt and twenty months left to go before graduating with a doctorate, I feel somewhat prepared, finally, to step out into the light.)" Dennel reveals to her readers more of herself in this lighthearted look at life and all its difficulties; even through the darkest of times, she kept looking up... regardless of the circumstances, always trusting that God would lead her, in spite of her fears. One of my life goals has always been, "to write a book some day"... a book that would hopefully help others somehow; to get through difficult periods in their lives - to realize that they are not alone. A book that would help people to see that there is always hope for the future.... that you can make it through all of life=s ups and downs, no matter how bad it seems at the time and that life always gets better. It may get worse again too, but it always gets better again; life's just that way - it's a roller coaster ride. So, how do I get my message out there What kind of book should I write? A Ahow-to@... a self-help book... or perhaps, a story about a child growing up in the 60's and 70's - about a childhood cut short - growing up too fast; and the harsh truths about reality (and learning to trust again). This is the story of my life, (parts of it anyway) before and after the loss of my only sister, LeDon. It is my hope that others, will not only enjoy my story, but will benefit from it, as well.
