In the first chapter of her inspirational memoir, A Home for My Heart, Lisa K. Wold describes her expansive heart-rock collection. The hundreds of hearts are a powerful symbol of her unwavering love for and faith in the Lord. Wold found her first heart rock when she was twelve years old. She knew that she was meant to find it and that it was a message from God. The heart rock was telling her that God would always be by her side, even when she lost her way. Around the same time, Wold was introduced to the piano. She had wanted to play the cello but was stuck with the other instrument. Wold was annoyed at first but quickly realized that this was yet another gift from God. An unforgettable piano recital led to a lifelong love and a fulfilling career. Wold's dual loves for the Lord and for music shine through in her work and in her life, even when she has to face terrible challenges. With God's help, Wold copes with a tragic divorce, a surprise interlude, and a shocking murder. Throughout everything, Wold holds on to that first heart. God will never let her face her challenges alone!
