In the essay types of high strength and high performance concretes are summarised. Their technology of construction, mechanical properties and applications in newly built structural systems or as a retrofitting system in existing structures are also presented. In the essay types of high strength and high performance concretes are summarised. Their technology of construction, mechanical properties and applications in newly built structural systems or as a retrofitting system in existing structures are also presented. Based on my own experiments I'm going to show the effects of high dosage plastic and steel fibres (2V% - 8V%) on the behaviour of concrete specimens subjected to bending and compression. Other features of the casted concrete specimens were also investigated such as fibre orientation, weight to volume ratio, quality of infiltration, etc. Besides tests on specimens containing various amounts and types of fibre reinforcement etalon specimens without any fibres were also tested. Hopefully, the result of my tests will be useful for similar future competitions or can mean a basis for further research.

I am also working part-time as a structural engineer, designing family houses, steel structures and actually any type of structure, which comes in my way.
