Autorenporträt
Michiel Decaluwe received a doctorate in History from the University of Ghent. He is the author of A Successful Defeat: Eugene IV's Struggle with the Council of Basel for Ultimate Authority in the Church, 1431 - 1449 (Bruxelles, 2009). Thomas M. Izbicki, Humanities Librarian Emeritus, Rutgers University, received his doctorate in medieval history from Cornell University in 1973. His publications include books on Pope Pius II, Nicholas of Cusa and Juan de Torquemada OP. His most recent book is The Eucharist in Medieval Canon Law (Cambridge, 2015). Gerald Christianson is Professor Emeritus of Church History at Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary (USA) and a former president of the American Cusanus Society. He is the author of Cesarini, The Conciliar Cardinal (St. Ottilien, 1979) and articles on the Council of Basel.
