Autorenporträt
Nicolas Drocourt, Ph.D. (2006), University of Toulouse-Le Mirail, is Associate Professor of Medieval History at the University of Nantes. He has published Diplomatie sur le Bosphore. Les ambassadeurs étrangers dans l'Empire byzantin des années 640 à 1204 (Leuven, 2015), and numerous articles and volumes on Middle Byzantine diplomacy, notably La Diplomatie byzantine, de l'Empire romain aux confins de l'Europe (Ve-XVe s.) (Leiden, 2020). Sebastian Kolditz, Ph.D. (2009), Leipzig, is a researcher at the Department of History at Heidelberg University. He has published a monograph on the Council of Ferrara-Florence (Stuttgart, 2014), and various articles, inter alia on Byzantine-Western relations in the High and Late Middle Ages, on interreligious Mediterranean diplomacy, and on maritime history.
