The success is mainly due to the adoption of various structural and functional factors which are worth emulating to other cooperatives. The study will contribute towards facilitating a deeper insight into various aspects related to the working of cooperatives especially urban thrift and credit society and in that sense capacitate the professional social workers working in the field to utilize this knowledge to strengthen the urban cooperative credit movement as also mobilizing people towards purposeful participation in cooperatives for their sustainable development.
