To start with, James Coffeen was born. Then he was a kid in Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, and Texas. Worked in exploring for oil in about 40 places in the U.S., and in Canada, Indonesia, and Singapore. Wrote several books about searching for oil. But didn't forget being a kid. And that helped him write this book.
