After his military service he received the Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Post seminary Reverend Stanford served on the staff of First Baptist Church, Rock Hill, S.C., for over 7 years, and as pastor of First Baptist, Clover, S.C., for over 30 years. Reverend Stanford has been married to his wonderful wife, Carol, for over 40 years. They have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren.
