Dieses Buch ist eins meiner Lieblingsbücher. Es ist eine andere Art von Roman, wenn man aus der Sicht des Jungen ließt. Genau das macht aber dieses Buch so interessant. Das Englisch ist aus diesem Grund auch recht simple, falls man in diesem Punkt Bedenken haben sollte. Bei Englischen Psychologiestudenten zählt dieses Buch zur Pflichtlektüre, aber jeder kann und sollte es lesen, kann ich nur empfehlen!

The story is written in the first-person perspective of Christopher John Francis Boone, a 15-year-old boy with Asperger syndrome living in Swindon, Wiltshire. Although Christopher's condition within the autism spectrum is not stated explicitly within the novel, the summary on the book's inside cover or back cover describes it as Asperger syndrome. It won the 2003 Whitbread Book of the Year and the 2004 Commonwealth Writers' Prize for Best First Book. I found it very well written but it can get a little sad and tedious at times. However, the ending brightens up the prospective and it is really encouraging.

Read this novel at school and I liked it very much. hey out there! In my opinion this book is excellent because of its plot and the idea of being written by a 15-year-old. I liked the way things were explained and also i liked all those reviews between each chapter. In my class we were reading this story and i have to say it could have been a real boring story instead.. so i am well happy to be able to say that this book was great and that i enjoyed reading it. Finally i have to say i would tell anybody to have a look at it. I'll continue my reading log on it by now, so farewell and have fun !

Ich habe dieses Buch ausgewählt, um es im Englischunterricht vorzustellen. Ich gehe in die 9. Klasse und bald müssen wir ein englisches Buch präsentieren. Ich selber bin durch Zufall auf dieses Buch gestoßen. In eine Bücherei wollte ich damals nicht gehen und darum habe ich bei buecher.de gesucht und bin auch dieses besondere Buch gestoßen. Wie ich nun gelesen habe, teilen sich die Meinungen. Ganz habe ich es selber noch nicht gelesen, erst angefangen. So manch ein Wort habe ich natürlich nicht verstanden, aber die Wortwahl ist allein wegen der Krankheit des Jungen gut gewählt. Vieles sind Schlussfolgerungen, die mich weitergebracht haben. Ich kann mich natürlich nicht so in das Buch hineinversetzen wie in ein Deutsches. Jetzt habe ich es mir bestellt und werde mich vollkommen damit beschäftigen, denn es hat mich dann doch gejuckt, genaueres zu erfahren... ich empfehle es Englischanfängern (da leichter Wortschatz) aber auch gut Erfahrenen...

The idea of writing a book, which maincharacter is a child, who has the Aspergers Syndrom, itself, is very nice, but Haddon wasn´t able to tap the potential of that. The story is boring and the way, the autor writes, is miserable, especially the misspelt words were very annoying. Actually, I don´t know, if that´s a kind of slang, but however, it´s terrible and, respectfully, I think, that i could have done better. A few parts of the story were halfway interesting, especially the szenes, which showed the way, Christopher thinks and sees the things in his own, very special way. All in all, I´ve read worse books, but that´s no compliment ;)

Die Grundidee, eine Geschichte über ein autistisches Kind zu schreiben, um einen Einblick in dessen Art zu Leben, seine Gedankengänge und auch Probleme zu gewähren, ist sehr gut, jedoch miserabel ausgeführt. Die Geschichte ist langweilig und der Stil, in welchem der Autor schreibt, sehr dürftig. Mit Verlaub, das hätte ich besser machen können. Besonders abschreckend waren die falschen Schreibweisen einiger Wörter. Ich weiß nicht, ob das Slang war, auf jeden Fall ist es grässlich. Ein paar Stellen sind allerdings halbwegs spannend oder interessant, insbesondere die Stellen, in denen sich zeigt, wie Christopher denkt und die Dinge auf seine eigene Art und Weise sieht. Mein Fazit: Ich hab schon schlechteres gelesen, aber das ist sicher kein Kompliment ;)

The curious incident of the dog in the night-time is outstanding well written. It starts with the murder of a dog that is found by a boy. His name is Christopher and by keeping on reading one gets to know that he is an authist. The most extraordinary thing of this book is that this happening doesn´t dominate the whole story. When Christopher finds letters of his dead spoken mother, the book turns into another direction. The outstanding best fact is that the reader gets the possibility to switch into the head of an authist. So one gets an idea of the completely different way of their thoughts. Also this point leads to an extraordinary easy written book which doesn´t give to many details to the reader; although it is enough to get a good picture of the surroundings.

The following text is a comment on the book "the curios indident of the dog at the night time" by Tino Heimhuber.The story is about a young autistic boy who tries to find out who killed the dog of his neighbour. It was really interesting to read through the lines of the book because the plot gets more and more interesting and of course exciting. Mark Hadden shows very well how autistic people think and manage the diffrent situations of life.The reader gets a deep look into the life of the autistic boy. Espacially the difficult thoughts of the boy and the missunderstanding of the facial expressions of other people have impressed me. Many funny details in the book like for example the pictures which the boy paints to explain his thoughts make the reading of the book really easy. To sum up finnaly, Mark Haddens book can be seen as a really good book for all persons,

sehr gut

The book is about a boy who has the deal with his autism. In the beginning it shows his every-day live and the problems he has because of his illness. The story suddently changes dramaticly with the murder of the neighbours´ dog. Now Christopher, the 15 year old main charakter of the story, starts to investigate the ´crime´ and get´s informations that change his relation to his father and his as death suspected mother. Then the adventure for Christopher starts... : ) We really liked the book, because ont one side the context is very interesting and funny and on the other side the language is easy to understand. Especially by using simple and well-known words the author helped us a lot!
