Helga Michie, geboren 1921 in Wien als Helga Aichinger, emigrierte im Juli 1939 mit einem Kindertransport nach London, wo sie bis heute lebt. Sie stand in engem Kontakt zu anderen österreichischen EmigrantInnen in London und schuf ein bisher immer noch weitgehend unbekanntes künstlerisches und literarisches Werk.
