Growing up eating fresh picked carrots, tomatoes and peas in her mother's gardens, and frolicking amongst the forest, hasled author Emily Grace Willis on a path of gardening, wild harvesting and the study of medicinal plants. Winding up in Skagway, Alaska where she lives year round with her family, she is an active dog walker, tree-hugger, organic gardener, and mom. This story is inspired by her son and of all things green and growing.
