The individual essays develop each specialist's approach to semiotics, with full bibliography for follow-through. The introductory chapter points out the unifying themes that tie the special topics together.
The Editor: Roberta Kevelson was Distinguished Professor of Philosophy Emerita. Her most recent books are Peirce, Science, Signs and Peirce's Pragmatism. Professor Kevelson died in 1998.
