Osmany Juantorena Portuondo (born 12 August 1985) is an Italian-Cuban volleyball player. He currently plays as side attacker for Trentino Volley. He is a nephew of Alberto Juantorena, a Cuban former track runner and politician. Osmany Juantorena is the considered the best outside hitter according to polls. Juantorena was born in Santiago de Cuba. He debuted in the Cuban first series aged 12, in the Orientales de Santiego. He remained in Cuba for seven years, before moving to Russian side Ural Ufa. In the meantime he also began to play for Cuba's national team, winning the bronze medal in the 2005 World League and scoring a total 75 caps.…mehr
