William Hill Sports Book Award winning author of "Provided You Don't Kiss Me" Duncan Hamilton explores why exactly football elicits a passion beyond reason in its followers, why it should colour the view of a city's success and status, and the continuation of this across football then and now. Looks closely at great figures including Lineker, Cruyff, Maradona and Clough.
