Starting from a basic view of education, this book provides nuanced insights into the different ways in which children are now growing up in an increasingly mediatized world, and into the ways in which children and young people currently deal with media. The media-related preferences and skills of various age groups, which are conditioned by their development and socialization, are presented in a way that is close to everyday life, providing starting points for media-educational action. Autorenporträt

Dr. Sandra Fleischer leitet die DPFA Akademie für frühkindliche Bildung und Schulentwicklung, sie ist Modulverantwortliche für Mediendidaktik im Master Medieninformatik an der HTWK Leipzig und Jugendschutzsachverständige des Landes Sachsens für die FSK. Dr. Daniel Hajok ist Honorarprofessor an der Universität Erfurt und seit über 20 Jahren Dozent und Fachautor im Bereich Medienpädagogik und Jugendmedienschutz. Gemeinsam mit Frau Professor Fleischer arbeitet er im Auftrag des Landes Thüringen den Bildungsbereich Medienbildung für den Thüringer Bildungsplan 0-18 Jahre aus.
