Sani Lawal Malumfashi, né le 5 mai 1966, est maître de conférences au département de sociologie de l'université de Bayero, à Kano-Nigeria. Il a été chercheur invité à la School of Oriental and African Studies de Londres (2003) et à la Cleveland State University, dans l'Ohio, aux États-Unis (2004). Il a également occupé les fonctions de Chef du département de sociologie de l'université Bayero de Kano.
