Variously the president of the Ghost Club Society (after thirty-three years at the club s helm), president of the Society for Psychical Studies, and patron of the Ghost Research Foundation (amongst many other honors), he has personally investigated hundreds of hauntings during his career. He lives in nearby Haslemere."
