The quality of teacher training programmes has been questioned for the last few decades as the teaching and learning process in majority of Pakistani classrooms is content focused, text -book geared and thoroughly teacher centred. Students are the silent spectators of the teaching learning activities that run in the classrooms. They do not participate, construct, and share their opinions in the classroom activities in majority of the cases. The teacher flies the educational plane alone without the active participation of the students. This situation desperately demands a training evaluation process that ensures quality of training programmes and enhances the effectiveness of whole training structure. An evaluation of the training event provides the opportunity to refine programmes and get the most out of its effectiveness. . In a nutshell, this humble effort by me was incited by my distinctive experience as master trainer working for Directorate of Staff Development (DSD) especially in programmes designed to improve English language ability of public school teachers and managers. There is a ray of hope and good news from Pakistan' Punjab that education is now on the right track.
