WITOLD SURYN, PHD, is a Professor at the École deTechnologie Supérieure, Montreal, Canada (engineering schoolof the Université du Québec network of institutions)where he teaches graduate and undergraduate software engineeringcourses and conducts research in the domain of software qualityengineering, software trustworthiness, and software projectmanagement. Dr. Suryn is also the principal researcher and thedirector of GELOG: IQUAL, the Software Quality Engineering ResearchGroup at École de Technologie Supérieure; the Canadianexpert to ISO/IEC SC7--System and Software Engineering WorkingGroup 6 on software quality; and the International Secretary ofISO/IEC SC7.
