Dr. Eike Sebastian Debus, M.D. FEBS, FEBVS, Professor of Surgery Eike Sebastian Debus is Professor and Chair of the Department of Vascular Medicine, University of Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany. Sebastian Debus is the current Secretary General of the European Society for Vascular Surgery. He was President of the German Vascular Society 2013/2014. He chairs the Northern German Society of Surgery and is Secretary of the Northern German Society for Vascular Medicine. He was member of the presidium of the German Society of Surgery 2013/2014. He served as chief editor of the `Journal of Wound healing¿ (2000-2005), Gefässchirurgie, Springer (2004-2013), founding Editor of GefäßmedizinScan (Thieme) since 2014 and is member of the editorial board of varios international journals. His main research interests are vascular epidemiology and vascular care, aortic pathologies and peripheral occlusive disease. He was cofounder of the german vascular registry program and is engaged in va rious projects of the European Society for Vascular Surgery, i.e. the VascuNet initiative, board of directors of the European journal of vascular and endovascular surgery and member of the esvs guidelines committee. Dr. Reinhart Thomas Grundmann, M.D., Professor of Surgery Reinhart T. Grundmann works currently as a medical expert in an independent position. He is at present consultant and coordinator of the DIGG, an institution of the German Society of Vascular Surgery. He is Professor of Surgery at the University of Cologne and has the qualification of general surgery and vascular surgery. He is the former medical director of the B. Braun Company, one of the world¿s leading providers of healthcare solutions. In after years, he worked as the medical director of the Kreiskliniken Altötting-Burghausen, Germany. He was managing editor of the Zentralblatt für Chirurgie from 1992 to 2008 and is currently member of the editorial board of the World Journal of Gastroi ntestinal Surgery. From 2001 to 2005 he edited annually the Jahrbuch für Chirurgie, a book that provides information on the latest developments in surgery. Reinhart T. Grundmann has published more than 300 scientific publications, including books and book chapters. His recent research interests lie in the field of efficacy and effectiveness in surgery.
