Esther Crain, a native New Yorker, wrote New-York Historical Society's New York City in 3D in the Gilded Age. In 2008, she launched Ephemeral New York, a website that chronicles the city's past, which was been profiled in numerous publications, including the New York Times, New York Daily News, and New York Post. The New-York Historical Society, one of America¹s pre-eminent cultural institutions, is dedicated to fostering research, presenting history and art exhibitions, and offering public programs that reveal the dynamism of history and its influence on the world of today. Founded in 1804, the New-York Historical Society's museum is the oldest in New York City.
