FILIP MARKIEWICZ (_1980, Esch/Alzette, Luxembourg) is a visual artist who works with various media, such as painting, drawing, video and installation. Under the name RAFTSIDE, he has also been active as a composer for film and theater since 1999. In 2015 Markiewicz represented Luxembourg at the 56th Venice Biennale.

FILIP MARKIEWICZ (_1980, Esch an der Alzette, Luxemburg) studierte bildende Kunst an der Université Marc Bloch in Straßburg. Sein Langzeitprojekt Celebration Factory begann im NN Contemporary Art Northampton und am Theater Basel bevor es 2018 im Casino Luxembourg - Forum d'Art Contemporain und 2019 im Centre for Contemporary Art Derry-Londonderry sowie der Kunsthalle Osnabru¨ck fortgesetzt wurde.
