Therese Heckenkamp was born in Australia but grew up in the United States. Her love for books began at such a young age that she began writing stories before she could even spell. Growing up as a homeschooled student, she won numerous writing awards, and she completed the draft of her first novel at age eighteen. Therese lives in Wisconsin with her husband and three energetic children, squeezing in writing time during naptime and at night (when the house is finally quiet).
