Luke's Gospel is often a favorite among Bible readers. It includes some of the most familiar and memorable stories about Jesus: the encounter with Zaccheus and the parables of the good Samaritan and the prodigal son, among others, appear only in Luke, and this gospel has a depth and richness that can be seen if we learn to read these stories in their context. Alan Thompson considers how the stories in Luke are placed together to help us discover the riches of the salvation we have in Jesus.
Luke: A 40-Day Bible Study is meditative, gospel-centered, practical, and prayerful--designed to be completed in 15 minutes or less each day. Over forty days, you will:
- read and reflect on Luke's Gospel, passage by passage
- meditate on Jesus on the good news he brings
- pray through Luke's Gospel
- apply the text to your life
This volume is part of the Planted in the Word series, a New Testament Bible study series written by respected evangelical scholars for everyday Christians. Each volume includes a reading plan for group study, making the series ideal for small groups as well as individual use.
