This is a comprehensive book for understanding all concepts of designing and verifying, testing Low Voltage electrical installations based on the requirements given in various standards and codes like IS 3043:2018, and IS 732;2019.
¿ Discusses protection system designing and requirements for overcurrent protection, earth fault/leakage protection, and selection of different protective devices.
¿ Explains calculations of deriving load, rating of an over-current protective device, and properly coordinated conductor size after applying all factors affecting the rated current capacity.
¿ Showcases detailed safety audit guidelines along with formats, inspection points, and test procedures for conducting verification of new installations.
¿ Presents simplified electrical wiring design layouts for building installations, outdoor lighting installations, and temporary outdoor installations.
¿ Illustrates complete measurements and testing procedures for electrical low-voltage installations according to IS 732 and other standards.
The text is primarily written for senior undergraduates, graduate students, and academic researchers in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics and communications engineering, safety engineering, occupational health, and safety.
