Stan Squatch has always been told to stay away from humans. Then one very determined professor changes everything.
Stan is having a perfectly good morning in the forest-eating blackberries, chasing grasshoppers, and minding his own business-when he hears the one sound every Sasquatch knows to fear:
CLICK.
Professor Throckmorton P. Mandrake has spent thirty years searching for proof that Sasquatches are real, and now he has finally found one! To escape, Stan borrows some human clothes and discovers that his ridiculous disguise works surprisingly well. Soon he is wandering through town, working on a fishing boat, earning his first money, and checking into a hotel-all without saying a single word.
But when Stan sees Professor Mandrake being laughed at for his blurry Sasquatch photograph, he begins to wonder whether hiding is really the right thing to do.
Stan Squatch Goes to Town is a funny, warmhearted early chapter book about friendship, curiosity, courage, and helping someone who needs it-even when that someone has been chasing you with a camera.
Filled with humorous black-and-white illustrations, gentle adventure, and a lovable Sasquatch hero, it is designed for young independent readers and families looking for a fun read-aloud story.
