The Younger Edda, also known as Snorre's Edda or The Prose Edda, is a book written by Rasmus B. Anderson. It is a collection of Norse mythology and legends, compiled in the 13th century by the Icelandic scholar Snorri Sturluson. The book is divided into three main sections: Gylfaginning, Sk¿¿¿¿¿ldskaparm¿¿¿¿¿l, and H¿¿¿¿¿ttatal. Gylfaginning tells the story of the creation of the world and the Norse gods, while Sk¿¿¿¿¿ldskaparm¿¿¿¿¿l is a guide to Norse poetry and the use of kennings, or poetic metaphors. H¿¿¿¿¿ttatal is a collection of poems that demonstrate different poetic styles. The Younger Edda is an important source for the study of Norse mythology and has influenced many works of literature and art. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
