The current role and responsibilities of Karuna Shankar demand a systemic approach with synthetic thinking in the area of analytical and bioanalytical chemistry of natural products to excel in multidisciplinary research and to provide problem-oriented solutions. The nature of my research work is interdisciplinary and applied which has application in the herbal pharmaceutical industry and biosciences domain i.e. Standardization of AYUSH medicines; plant-based drug development; chemotypic characterization of plants; plant?microbe interaction; and related biotechnological applications. My overall contribution to science particularly Plant Natural Product Research was evaluated regularly by CSIR-CIMAP authorities and recognized as outstanding and rewarded with Merit promotions in two terms. Recognition as a Fellow of National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi, Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry FRSC, (London), Fellow of Institution of Chemist [FIC], Fellow of Indian Chemical Society (FICS), and Fellow of the Institution of Chemists (FICC) were received from professional scientific societies. Contributing to scientific communities and society as Life member of 14 scientific/professional/academies, editorial board member in 13 SCI journals and member in committees at national and international working group

Antonio Zuorro is a distinguished Italian researcher and professor at the University of Rome “La Sapienza,” specializing in chemical engineering, environment, and sustainable processes.
