Innovations and Integrations for the Next Generation Libraries

Ishappa C. Bandi has 24 years of experience in academic and corporate libraries, including over a decade with leading institutions such as TISS, BITS Pilani, and MAHE Manipal. He received the G20 Library Summit 2024 Best Paper Award and has published 25 research articles and book chapters. An active member of MANLIBNET, BOSLA, KALA, and ILA, he has chaired sessions, delivered invited talks, and served on multiple conference committees. Journal reviewer like ALIS, JILA, Journal of Scientometric Research, etc Currently Chief Librarian at MAHE Bengaluru, he guides four Ph.D. scholars and manages libraries across MITBLR, TAPMIBLR, SMI, DOC, DLHS, MLS, and MIRM, contributing significantly to LIS innovation. Implemented MAHE BLR Stacks page, Discovery services, Openother 24/7 access to all online resources. He and his Central Library team have started new teaching department to offer M.Lib.I.Sc Course at MAHE Bengaluru campus from AY 2026-27. His experties in Library automation, RFID, Stacks page, Library Apps development has helped in providing innovative services.

Rajendra Babu holds degrees in Science and Library & Information Science from Bangalore University and advanced training in IT applications at IISc Bengaluru. He earned his Ph.D. on Open Access Journals from the University of Mysore. With 29 years of experience in leading MNCs and academia, he specializes in content research, knowledge management, and corporate library services. Currently, he serves as faculty in the Department of Library & Information Science at Tumkur University. He has published over 100 papers, delivered 200+ invited talks, co-authored four books, and guided Ph.D. scholars, contributing significantly to LIS research and practice.

Harish H.T. has over 18 years of experience in academic, administrative, and digital library management. A Ph.D. holder from the University of Mysore, he has implemented major digital platforms, including KOHA, DSpace, and RFID systems. He has published extensively, presented at national and international conferences, and serves on editorial boards. As an approved Ph.D. Research Supervisor, life skill trainer, and accreditation contributor, he has also been honoured with the Kannada Seva Rathna Prashasti.
