Who poured into you before you knew what you were becoming?
Who loved you when love was inconvenient? Who corrected you when correction was hard to receive? Who showed up consistently, quietly, without applause - and left an imprint you still live by?
Whoo Blessed Me! is a 30-author anthology of raw, real testimony - stories of the people who shaped us, the relationships that formed us, and the wisdom we carry because someone chose to pour it in. This is not a self-help book. This is a legacy book. And it will make you think about every person who ever had a hand in making you who you are.
Licensed clinical mental health counselor supervisor, national certified counselor, and board-certified telemental health provider Tanielle "L.A." Brown traces her becoming through three foundational relationships - and the gifts each one deposited into her life that she could not have named until time and experience revealed them.
Her mother, Annie Mae Arledge, created a home built on quiet consistency, emotional presence, and unwavering discipline. She did not just raise children - she modeled leadership. She showed what it looked like to pour into others before the day even began, to maintain order in limited space, and to carry strength without demanding recognition. That standard became Tanielle's emotional foundation - the ground she stands on when everything else shifts.
Her father, Clarence Arledge Jr., gave her something equally essential: structure. His authority was not loud. It was consistent. He held a standard that felt strict in the moment and became protective in hindsight. Through him, Tanielle learned that integrity is not what you say - it is what you do when no one is watching. That the quiet work, the unseen preparation, the decisions made in private - those are what determine the results the world eventually sees. He gave her a backbone. And that backbone holds everything else upright.
Her brother, Wane B. Arledge, gave her eyes. Watching him navigate life taught Tanielle to read what words never say - to notice the shift in tone before the sentence ends, to understand that presence is communication, and that silence holds meaning. His influence lives in her clinical instincts, her discernment, and her ability to hold space for others with depth and precision. Even after his passing, he remains part of her pause. Part of the way she reads a room before she responds to it.
What these three poured into Tanielle did not stop with her. It moves through her clinical practice, her published work, her leadership, and her brand CEOBOSSMOM.COM. It shows up in every client she guides toward healing, every individual she helps break free from limiting beliefs, and every life she touches through her work as a clinician, author, and leader. Legacy, she has learned, is not something that begins at the end of a life. It is built daily - through intentional presence, quiet consistency, and the courage to keep showing up.
Across 30 powerful voices, Whoo Blessed Me! honors the deposits made into our lives through love, discipline, faith, sacrifice, presence, and purpose. Each story is a personal testimony of inherited wisdom - proof that the people who shaped us are still speaking through the way we live, lead, love, and serve. This book will move you. It will make you grieve the ones you have lost and celebrate the ones still with you. It will challenge you to take inventory of what you have been given - and what you are doing with it.
Legacy is not a moment. It is a movement. And it is still moving through you.
Someone blessed your life. This book is the proof.
