Portrait

Kusum Deep is an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Mathematics and a former Joint Faculty at the MF School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, IIT Roorkee, India. She has held visiting professorships at Liverpool Hope University (UK), the University of Technology Sydney, and Curtin University, Perth. A Gold Medalist in MPhil from Panjab University, she earned her Ph.D. from the University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee) in 1988 and later completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Loughborough University, UK, funded by the European Communities. She has received several prestigious awards, including the Khosla Research Award, UGC Career Award, AIAP Excellence Award, and the Uttarakhand “Excellence in Research of the Year 2022” Award. Recognized among the top 2% of scientists worldwide by Stanford University since 2019, she was awarded a POWER grant from SERB-DST in 2021. Since 2022, she has led a Deloitte-funded project on AI and ML. With 2 books and 160 research papers to her name, she has guided 25 Ph.D. scholars. A Senior Member of ORSI, CSI, IMS, and ISIM, she serves as an Editor for Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence. Her research focuses on nature-inspired optimization techniques, particularly evolutionary algorithms, swarm intelligence, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Atulya K. Nagar is the Foundation Chair Professor of Mathematical Sciences and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research) at Liverpool Hope University, UK. A recipient of the prestigious Commonwealth Fellowship, he earned his doctorate (DPhil) in applied nonlinear mathematics from the University of York, UK, in 1996. He holds BSc (Hons), MSc, and MPhil (with distinction) in mathematical physics from MDS University, Ajmer, India. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and Its Applications (FIMA) and the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). His research spans applied nonlinear analysis, natural computing, and systems engineering.

Radha Gupta is a Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore. She earned her M.Sc. from Agra University and an M.Phil. from IIT Roorkee, securing a University Gold Medal. She completed her Ph.D. at Vikram University, Ujjain, and has held research and teaching positions at prestigious institutions. Honored with the President’s Gold Medal, she has authored five books, over 50 research papers, and holds multiple patents. Her research interests include operations research, mathematical modeling, and statistical analysis.

Sowmya K. is an Assistant Professor at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Karnataka, India. With over 16 years of teaching experience, she earned her master’s in mathematics from Bangalore University, securing the 2nd rank. She later pursued a Ph.D. in graph theory at Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). A lifetime member of ADMA, she actively contributes to research in applied mathematics.
