    Buch (Taschenbuch)

    Peak Book Trust

I’ve had this book for two years now and it’s been pretty good honestly. The book itself is for my taste pretty well written and you can also use it as a table for in bed and place your cereal or energy or whatever yall eat and drink on it so it doesn’t spill over! It seems allergic to rain tho one day I was on my way to the store and it started to rain so it got a few droplets on its cover and developed lil pox. But they went away after it dried valid honestly like who likes getting wet. The spine is carrying btw it WILL hold the pages together no matter what.

    Buch (Taschenbuch)

    I love the book

I already read the book like three times, some say they don't like the style of how it's written, but that's exactly why I love it. The story of Osamu Dazai is one I can relate too (also a reason I like it), mostly because I also strtuggle with not undestanding why I exist and depression, so it's like reading about someone with the same problems. It's playing in a time where misogyni was much more normalised, so some readers may not like that. I personally see it as just a part of the time where Osamu lived. To the book itself, it's in a melancholic tone and as someone whos native language isn't english, it's more advanced. You follow his story, from childhood 'till his death. There're many timeskips, so some times it's hard to follow. He tells about his struggles and how he doesn't undestands people, but still is popular (for some time). He tries to mask it (his problems to understand people), but many think he's weird. I personally can totally recommed the book. It's very intresting to read, you completly go into the life of someone else, who struggles with being a human and not knowing how to act around others. And having a addiction because of his depression. All around many aspects and layers to read into.

    Buch (Taschenbuch)

    Beautifully painful read

One of (if not the) most relatable books I've ever read. I have never felt more understood in my life and the book manager to put many experiences and feelings into words that I couldn't have dreamt of expressing myself. I can only recommend it, especially if you have (or are) struggling with the feeling of being an outcast, though it will make you experience it all over again and make you cry (speaking from experience) :)

    Buch (Taschenbuch)

    A haunting Portrait of Isolation

An exploration of alienation and identity, told through the fragmented life of Oba Yozo. Through his notebooks, we witness a man spiraling into despair, unable to connect with society or himself. Dazai’s sparse, powerful prose captures the rawness of isolation with brutal honesty. It’s a dark, unforgettable novel that lingers long after you finish reading.

    Buch (Taschenbuch)

What´s the meaning of my existence?

What´s the meaning of my existence? This is the topic this wonderfully dark book takes up. An incredibly captivating and profound story that questions the meaning of life, especially human existence, and addresses themes such as emotional despair and suicide. Despite the love I have for this book, I must add a trigger warning and recommend that anyone who is sensitive to such topics approach this book with caution.
