Canada's Anti-Human Trafficking Measures Origins, Impact, Trends

Sasha Baglay is an associate professor in the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities at Ontario Tech University. She is co-editor, with Martin Jones, of Refugee Law, 2nd ed., and, with Delphine Nakache, of Immigration Regulation in Federal States. Idil Atak is a professor in the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University. Among her publications are L'européanisation de la lutte contre la migration irrégulière et les droits humains and, as co-editor with Graham Hudson, Migration, Security, and Resistance. She has served as deputy to the permanent representative of Turkey to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France. Varka Kalaydzhieva is a migrant justice advocate who has played an instrumental role in advancing migrant rights through collaborative leadership with the Canadian Council for Refugees and the Collaborative Network to End Exploitation. She is a co-creator of the experiential workshop and podcast documentary series Essential but Disposable Labour, as well as the webinar series Do No Harm.
