With Hearts of Flame (Standard Edition) A Novel

After the attack on Veilmar changes are ongoing at Bloodwing. Not all the highbloods are happy about this. Now without Victor and his influence there the other houses try to gain more power. We have Florence who remembers something from her past which will shatter her and her connection to Nyxaris . Both get to know each other better. Can Medra, rescue Blake or will Vorago rule him? What will happen with Regan? What about Kage? Can they win against Victor? And then there is an ancient prophecy talking about a needed sacrifice and the question who is the person mentioned in it? Wow! What a conclusion! I really enjoyed being at Bloodwing for the last time. I don´t want to spoil hence I can´t get into much detail here but for me this final book was gripping, great fights, lots of emotions, interesting what we learn and what decisions are made for the greater good. I loved reading about Florence and Nyxaris. How they get to know each other better, how they talk with each other, about their feelings, ... is wonderful written. How Blake is fighting Vorago and is struggling what he made him do is well written. Reading how Medra and the others try to keep Bloodwing running and making it better for the blightborn is very interesting, what fights they have. Medra is doing all this while waiting for Blake to return. Also I love the interaction with her mother here. For me this is lovely written. Kage is back at the Academy and to read about him, his friendship with Lysander and how they plan to bring back Regan was great. What Regan has to endure yet is hard. Unbelievable what a great character she is, how she is changing here. I loved having Neville so much in the story and I loved learning here so much about the fluffins. The quest, some of the characters need to do, as a dwarven secret gets revealed, is well done and the stacks are even higher. Having an ancient prophecy and the sacrifice which is needed to save this world is a great new twist. I liked the question who the person in this prophecy is and the guessing you do while reading. This is all I will mention here to avoid any spoiler. What we learn here, what happens are some very interesting new twists and plots. I liked the series and for me this is really a wonderful and emotional conclusion.
