Due to the nature of the case, Brunetti stands more or less alone. Despite his expertise in crime-solving, he doesn’t know where to start or what to think of it. It’s only a feeling he can’t let go of.
Once in a while, after twenty books, there comes one who only seems to fill the gap in between. Drawing Conclusions didn’t appear like the usual in the series. It was still a quick read, but not as suspenseful. I missed the twisty and deceptive way the author usually uses. Not much police work is involved, either. I don’t give up hope that the series will pick up its pace again in the coming cases.
