Fielding, H: Bridget Jones 3: Mad About the Boy

Bridget Jones, a middle-ages (50+) widow with two children (Billy and Mabel) feels very lonely and therefore decides to take advantage of online dating and social platforms like twitter. She meets 30 year-old Roxster and both start an affair till Roxster realises that he is in need of a woman his age, so they split up. Feeling all lonely again Jones falls for Mr Wallaka (a teacher of her son). And of course he isn't very much into her at first, but realises who lovely she is after certain incidents. The book is written in typical diary-style abbreviations, takes place in the modern day (twitter, online dating etc) and of course it deals with a lot of clichés. Unfortunately it is written in an annoying hysterical tone and seems very foolish (fart and vomit jokes). Jones - who is a mother of two children - seems more concerned about outfits, calories etc. then her children and is constantly overwhelmed. One should really think dealing with such a loss (widowhood) should have lowered her narcissism level...
