Norbert Illiges has headed the steering committee of the School Construction Task Force at the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Youth, and Family since 2018. In this role, he is responsible for managing Berlin’s school construction initiative. A trained urban and regional planner, he has extensive experience in urban planning, project management, and real estate development.

Bernhart Schwenk is an art historian and exhibition curator. As Head of Contemporary Art at the Bavarian State Painting Collections, he has been responsible for this field at the Pinakothek der Moderne since 2002. Since 2015, he has also chaired the City of Munich’s QUIVID art commission.

Barbara Pampe has been, together with Meike Kricke, a member of the Executive Board of the Montag Stiftung Jugend und Gesellschaft in Bonn since 2019. She is committed to advancing future-oriented educational buildings at the intersection of pedagogy and architecture. Among other roles, she serves on Berlin’s State Advisory Board on School Construction and on the Baukultur Foundation of Thuringia.

Meike Kricke has likewise been, together with Barbara Pampe, a member of the Executive Board of the Montag Stiftung Jugend und Gesellschaft in Bonn since 2019. Trained as a primary school teacher, she has been active in inclusive teacher education both in Germany and abroad and is committed to equitable education—with a focus on multiprofessional team development, forward-looking learning formats, and pedagogical architecture.

Andrea Gebhard has been President of the Federal Chamber of German Architects since 2021. A landscape architect and urban planner, she has been professionally active in architectural policy for many years. She has been a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects since 1989 and of the Association of German Landscape Architects (BDLA) since 1990, serving as its president from 2007 to 2013. In 2022, she was elected deputy chair of the board of trustees of the Federal Foundation for Baukultur. She is co-owner of the firm mahl gebhard konzepte.

Prof. Thomas Auer studied process engineering at the University of Stuttgart and subsequently focused on energy efficiency and user comfort in buildings as part of his work at Transsolar Energietechnik GmbH. From 2001 to 2008, he held a teaching assignment at Yale University, followed by visiting professorships in Germany and abroad. Since 2014, he has been Professor at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

Julian Weyer studied at the Aarhus School of Architecture and has been a partner at C.F. Møller Architects since 2007. He works across Europe on innovative projects in architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design, integrating social and ecological sustainability, including school and educational projects ranging from campuses to cluster schools.
