Foxglove

I love this series. I love the characters. I love the mystery. I love the writing style. I love Death - he is such a good MMC. Can’t get enough of this author! I have to inhale everything she writes.

Foxglove - once again - does gothic romance incredibly well. It’s atmospheric, dark and intoxicating. It’s everything you’d want out of a gothic romance/murder mystery: court intrigue, ghosts, a tragic lovestory and headstrong characters. I had a great time reading this.

A stunning sequel full of mystery, murder and intrugue. It connects beautifully to the first Book in the series. If you even mildly enjoyed Belladonna, Foxglove will surely be a hit!

Foxglove beginnt direkt da, wo Belladonna aufgehört hat und man wird direkt wieder von der Storyline gefesselt. Signa und dem Tod werden in diesem Band so manche Steine in den Weg gelegt und das Schicksal war ein interessanter neuer Charakter. Es gab wieder eine spannende Murder Mystery Geschichte, die zum Miträtseln einlädt und tolle Wendungen. Ich freue mich schon riesig auf den 3. Band!

I was so excited to read the sequel to Belladonna, which was a highlight for me. Maybe I was a bit too excited and thus my expectations were too high. The book itself is a good story. I like it. But I don't love it and I made the mistake to compare it too much to the vibes that Belladonna transported. Foxglove is a bit different, it is set in spring, so the gothic setting and the dark atmosphere are gone. The other big difference is that Signa is not the only main character anymore, her cousin Blythe steps into the spotlight and gets her own chapters. For me, it was too much Blythe and not enough Signa (and Death!). Anyhow, I can't wait for Wisteria, the third book of the series!
