Ein äußerst wilder Ritt, der besonders im Original seine Sogwirkung entfalten konnte. Das ganze Szenario spielt in den USA, weshalb ich auf jeden Fall zur englischsprachigen raten würde. Zumal doch die Sprache recht einfach und verständlich gehalten ist.

Ich habe das englischsprachige Hörbuch gehört und bin begeistert. Hatte es ein paar Längen? Ja sicher. Es wurde sogar die Vermutung angestellt, dass das so von der Autorin beabsichtigt war, um das Innere der Protagonistin Nathalie noch erlebbarer zu machen. Ich würde gerne sagen, dass ich Nathalie absolut unsympathisch finde, aber das wäre gelogen. Sie ist in meinen Augen eine zutiefst verstörte Frau, die sich selbst unentwegt belügt, was das Lese- bzw. Hörvergnügen nur noch mehr erhöht. Das Buch bekommt von mir eine absolute Empfehlung!
