What I love so much on Samantha Youngs books is that they always have some psychological in them .... This is the first book in the Scottish Isles series, and what an opening! We follow Tierney's and Ramsey's story in the first person. Something that always helps me to be more involved in the protagonists' lives and to understand their emotions and thoughts. I like that the writing is fluent and easy to understand even for non native English readers. I was instantly in the story and very invested in Tierneys (Silvers) life. I'm swooning a little bit by the two nicknames Tierney got. They're so sweet! By the way, it's a bit of a grumpy vs. sunshine love story with all the banter, the spice, and suspense. There are enough twits in it, too. But to be truthful, I'm so happy for the evolution Tierney and specifically Ramsey made during this book. He's great, and I wasn't sure I got him right. I did understand that he has baggage (who doesn't? ) but I wasn't truly sure what he was hiding, but after its revelation, it made so much sense to me. I love the banter and the chemistry between Tierney and Ramsey. They're a match made in writers haven. conclusion: Amazing love story with suspense and twists I haven't seen coming.
