"The Rainbow-Procession" written by Manuela Unger is a beautiful book which contains two later intertwining storylines. One is about six adolescents/young adults from different spiritual backgrounds( like e.g. monastery, indigenous tribe, African village...) who are divinely guided in order to meet and fulfill their personal missions to save the world for all people and especially for innocent children all over the world. The other storyline is about a criminal secret operation located in the Californian desert concerning a worldwide hacker attack. Tom and Susan are the main characters here. One is deeply involved in the hacker attack, the other plays rather a minor role, not fully knowing of the possible impact of the attack at that point of time. The symbol of the whole story is the rainbow for me. AI says about a rainbow in a spiritual context: "a rainbow is widely recognized as a powerful sign of hope, new beginnings, and divine connection. It represents a bridge between the earthly and spiritual realms, a promise of renewal after hardships, and a reminder of the beauty that can emerge from challenging times." That are emotions and thoughts that can arise while reading the book. Therefore I think the book would also be suitable and useful for schools. To me the erotic scenes in the book are not really necessary, as the story does not go into detail concerning personal circumstances in general. It deviates from the main goal: seeing the need to save the planet and humanity. I think the book deals with the most important topics of our times (pollution, climate change, poverty...) and is therefore an essential contribution that should be read!!!
