Amalia was born at a time when girls had very few freedoms - they stayed at home and took care of their families. Most of them, anyway - not Amalia. She was different. She had dreams and wanted to make them come true. And so, extraordinary things happened in her life.

But on the very first day, wild bandits stormed the atelier, kidnapped Amalia, and took her to their hideout in the mountains - what misfortune! And it's her brilliant little dog that will come to her aid at the critical moment.
But can a little dog really stand up to bandits?
And in the end, will our girl be lucky or unlucky? Will she manage to escape from the bandits' cave? I know, but I won't spoil it for you. You'll have to read and find out.
As you've probably realized, the heroine of this series is Amalia. From book to book, we'll live with her all she went through and all the clever tricks she came up with to overcome the obstacles in her path. We'll laugh and cry until we see her become a teacher.

If they want something, they have to fight for it - just like poor Amalia from Kypseli did to become a teacher.
The little girl of the 19th century has all the qualities I wish for today's girls to acquire: intelligence, courage, persistence, imagination, and humor.
Because yes, girls can now become teachers - but even today, two centuries later, equality still hasn't been fully achieved..."
