I'd like to give zero stars, please. I got this as an eBook during some kind of promotion event, so I paid nothing, but even that was far too much. I don't even know where to start. EVERYTHING about this book was awful. Subpar worldbuilding, racist/ableist undertones (and I'm really not one to fling that accusation around at every opportunity), forgettable characters, and most of all a disgusting, toxic 'romance'. The ML is gaslighting himself and the reader on multiple occasions into believing he's not an abusive POS. The FL is victim blaming herself (Smth like 'If I REALLY did not want it, I could, have fought harder, so I'm to blame'). Everything about this relationship is bordering on R-word. Not to yuck anyones yum, but put this in the trigger warning please, so anyone can make an infirmed decision to pick this up. There is the most useless 'love triangle' in history. One character is turned into a literal monster due to another characters doing and everybody just kinda shrugs it of. In the end SPOILER the FL is bound to the ML AGAINST HER WILL and he has complete control over her. She literally can't disobey every direct order he gives. So don't waste your time and money on this.

Really good story with great characters and a complex world building. Definitely gives Harry Potter vibes with the different houses and academy classes that the students attend, but of course there is more spice. Enemies to lovers is really present.
